PERRY, FL – North Florida College’s Perry Location brought energy and opportunity to the spotlight on Monday, June 9, during its community Open House. With doors wide open and staff ready to guide, the event gave attendees a firsthand look at how NFC is helping students fast-track their futures through workforce certifications, college degrees and personalized support right here in Taylor County.

From high-skill trades like HVAC/R to general education courses that count toward an Associate in Science or Associate in Arts degree, the Perry Location is a launchpad for students ready to take the next step. Guests explored classroom spaces, met with faculty and staff, and received on-the-spot help with applications, financial aid, and scholarships. NFC even waived the $20 application fee for all who applied during the event.

“This isn’t just a campus tour—it’s an inside look at real options for building a future,” said Deidra Dunnell, Director of the Perry Location. “Whether you're looking to enter the workforce quickly or work toward a college degree, you can start that journey here.”

The Perry Location is more than a satellite site. It’s a fully equipped extension of NFC’s main campus, offering academic advising, placement testing, dual enrollment, tutoring and access to computer labs and study spaces. Students can take general education courses locally, earn workforce certifications or get a head start on degree programs without leaving the area.

The event buzzed with conversation, curiosity and momentum as attendees saw how NFC is making career training and higher education more accessible than ever. Programs like the HVAC/R Certification offer hands-on, job-ready skills, while degree pathways open doors to broader career possibilities.

Located at 319 N. Byron Butler Parkway, the NFC Perry Location serves as a vital resource for Taylor County and beyond. It’s open year-round and designed to meet the needs of students who want an education that leads to results.
